Introducing Women for Warner

I’m very proud to announce the launch of Women for Warner, a group of dedicated women (and men!) who are joining in the support of my husband, and our Senator, Mark Warner.

Having been married to Mark Warner for over two decades, I have seen how much he has accomplished as a businessman, governor and now as Virginia’s senator.

He knows how important it is that all women have a fair shot at success, and as the father of three wonderful young women, he understands the importance of women’s rights and equality, to ensure that his children and all women across the Commonwealth have the same opportunities that he had.

One of the first things Mark did as a Senator was support the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. He was proud to support this historic legislation that helps level the playing field for women.

But, he also knows there’s a lot of work left to do to promote equality and opportunity.

That’s why he has been a strong advocate in ensuring that women cannot be charged more for health care simply because of their gender, that our military women have access to the same mental health benefits as military men, and that we work to end violence against women both in Virginia and across this country.

He’s also working to make it more affordable for families to send their children to college by working to pass student loan legislation, and to balance our nation’s finances so that our children aren’t saddled with crushing debt.

Will you join me today and sign your name to be part of Women for Warner?

By joining Women for Warner, you’ll stand with thousands of others across Virginia who are working together in the name of fairness, equality, and opportunity.

My daughters and I look forward to you joining us today. There is just too much at stake for us to sit this one out.

Thanks,
Lisa Collis
