Virginia's Senator

Kicking off our Fair Shot for all Virginians Tour

On Friday we kicked off our Fair Shot for All Virginians Tour. Over the next few days, Senator Warner will travel across the Commonwealth to discuss his work in the Senate to create jobs and grow the economy by advancing policies that encourage small business growth, address the student debt crisis and bring jobs back to Virginia, rather than sending them overseas.

Senator Warner will highlight his efforts to boost entrepreneurship, tourism and sound economic policies across the Commonwealth.

Our first stop of the tour was in Woodstock where we had a great discussion with Page and Shenandoah County community and business leaders. Senator Warner discussed the importance of investing in innovation and his work to support small businesses through his bipartisan Startup Act 3.0.

Afterwards we hit the road and traveled to Covington. We had a great time meeting MeadWestVaco employees. As a local Virginia paper product and packaging plant, MeadWest Vaco is a large employer in Covington helping to maintain economic stability and promote strong business practices in the region. We joined MeadWestVaco employees for a tour of their facility and had a meaningful conversation focused on economic growth and job creation.

As we crisscross Virginia on the Fair Shot Tour, make sure to check back for updates from the road here and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
