Week in Review
This week was a busy one for Senator Warner and the team.
Senator Warner asked consumer and privacy experts at the Federal Trade Commission to examine Facebook’s recent controversial experiment in which behavioral scientists manipulated timeline postings to gauge the Facebook user’s emotional responses.
As a former technology entrepreneur, Senator Warner knows the technology sector helps drive business and job creation in Virginia and across the country. In his letter to the FTC, Senator Warner suggested the industry should work together to design voluntarily, commonsense rules of the road that will protect consumers.
Team Warner also received some good news this week. Northern Virginia Magazine named Senator Warner one of the best local politicians! Be sure to read the full post here: http://www.northernvirginiamag.com/best-of-2014-personalities/local-politician/
Back at HQ, the team shipped out hundreds of Team Warner Sticker and t-shirts to folks across Virginia.
And we put together a short video taking a look at the fun we had at the Fourth of July parades. Senator Warner made sure to keep us all on our toes, running through the crowds, shaking hands and talking about his work to continue providing a fair shot to all Virginians to as many folks as possible. Check out the video here:
Finally, Senator Warner took time to present a long overdue Silver Star to Retired US Army Lt Col Ralph Keuthe. Col Keuthe led an Allied company in France in 1944 during World War II. We thank him for his service and dedication to our country.
