A note from Mark Warner:
Trump and his administration are attempting to get credit for solving a problem they created when it comes to the U.S. Postal Service. It’s not good enough. We need a permanent reversal of all of Postmaster DeJoy’s harmful policies. So many people rely on the postal service. Cancer patients who need their medicine. Small business owners who are already struggling right now and rely on the mail to deliver their products. Folks who rely on USPS to cast their ballot in our elections. Those are the casualties of the Trump administration’s political games.
I will continue to fight to protect the U.S. Postal Service for as long as I’m in the Senate — that’s a promise.

Mark Warner has been fighting to protect the Post Office:
- In August 2020, Sen. Warner demanded accountability from Postmaster DeJoy, relaying concerns about delayed mail service following changes to U.S. Postal Service operations. Warner urged DeJoy to “rescind any policy changes that are contributing to delays in mail delivery.” The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is a critical service to millions of Americans who rely on the mail for prescriptions, bills, and letters to loved ones. Mark will continue to work to make sure USPS has the funding needed to continue its service.
- Mark also called for aid for the U.S. Postal Service during the coronavirus pandemic. Millions of Americans rely on the postal service for bills and payments, medication, and other essential services.
